| Ceu Kingshill Teaching Experience 1) Education Areas
a)- Leadership Development. With my experience as a leader I have developed leaders for my own ministry in Brazil and they are all volunteers developing other leaders now. I also have given many seminars to leaders in Thailand, Brazil and some in the USA helping them to enhance their leadership. I work not only the spiritual part of the leader but also the emotional and physical. With my experience as a Movement Therapist I also help participants to understand how to take care of their health in Ministries, the Work Place and Everyday Life. Many leaders get sick because they do not know how to balance their commitments with daily living, or because they do not know how to take care of their own bodies. My focus when I teach is to help participants to learn how to bring the best of others out. Many leaders are good but they do not know how to pull the best of those under their direction. by Ceu Kingshill b)- Worship Class. I teach a Worship class that brings people to see worship in a practical way. This class would help students to understand how to prepare themselves as worship leaders on Sunday and also how to get into the worship to bring the congregation into the worship experience as well. Sometimes people are singing a song in which the lyrics are saying one thing and their bodies are saying another. That is because they are not into it. Also sometimes they try to give movements just to match the lyrics and this often does not work well. In my worship class the student goes very deep into how to integrate the Body, Mind and Soul when they sing. Also the participants learn to understand that worship is beyond singing and learns how to worship each and every day. By Ceu Kingshill
c)- Christian Movement Education. I teach a class which I have developed for 15 years now. This course is designed to be practical in order to help students effectively work on their relationship with God, others and themselves. The result at the end of this course is that students will be able to integrate their Christian faith in an Educational/Healing manner in order to better serve the communities that they are engaged in ministry. This course is for Christians who want to grow and go beyond. By Ceu Kingshill 2) Health Area. Healthy Community – This course is for persons * suffering from a variety of abuse, past and present; * desiring to relieve stress; * seeking to be free of co-dependent behavior. Sometimes congregations study the Scriptures in detail, but their membership has little opportunity to practically apply what they learn mentally to how they live physically. Results – This course is like a community support group. Participants will be able to talk about their troubles as well as cry and pray together; in a spiritual way, they will work on their present pain and frustrations. The aim is for participants to become healthier Christians. By Ceu Kingshill 3) The Area of the Arts. Praise Dance/Drama and Creative Movement – Seminar classes focus on participants applying themselves creatively in liturgical movement, dance and drama. Participants will understand that they do not need dance or drama techniques in order to use their talents to Praise God. They will understand that praise to God with dance or drama is for all ages: Children, Teenagers, Adults – young, mature or senior. Results – Participants will understand Praise Dance/Drama and Creative Movement based on the Scriptures. They will understand worship expression is not performance but grateful praise to God in community. By Ceu Kingshill 4) Culture Area. Understand Culture through Movement – This course will offer the participants the opportunity to learn that movement is effective in conflict resolution as language awareness and as a tool to understand our own and other people’s cultures. (In Thailand I had the opportunity to use movement analysis with persons from many social and religious cultures. I taught people who were development workers, teachers, and even missionaries. Some were christian, buddhist, agnostic or nothing at all. They were from North and South America, Europe, Africa, Australia/New Zealand. They came to me for assistance with conflict resolution as well as relief from not only culture shock, various abuse, and pain,) Results – As participants experience movement as a way to understand culture they will learn how to respond to conflicts responsibly and peacefully. Movement Education - I assist individuals and groups to express their own movement in a very creative way. I have found participants have been inspired to use their bodies creatively and more healthily as well as enhancing their habits to educate their spine and whole bodies as well to deal with everyday movements. Movement Therapy - I assist individuals with movement as a process to deal with emotional, cognitive, social and physical connections in a very integrated and therapeutic way. I have perceived that Movement Therapy is effective in conflict resolution as language awareness and a tool to manage anger and other psychosomatic issues that affect the patient in his/her healing process. When people experiment with Movement Therapy, they can learn how to respond to conflicts between their bodies and minds in more peaceful ways. By Ceu Kingshill
